The 01E Unarmed Security Officer program is a mandatory 18-hour training course that individuals must complete to acquire the appropriate DCJS certification to work as either an unarmed or armed security officer in Virginia.
07E Entry Level Handgun

The 07E Entry Level Handgun course is a 16-hour training designed for Private Investigators and Armored Car Personnel to acquire their Armed credentials. 07E is a prerequisite for 09E. The students are required to bring their own firearms and ammunition.
02E Private Investigator

The 02E Private Investigator training program is a 60-hour course specifically designed to equip individuals with the essential knowledge required to obtain certification from DCJS to work as a private investigator in Virginia. This program is rigorous and demanding, and it is taught by experienced instructors who are former law enforcement and military investigators. 09E Advanced Handgun

The 09E Advanced Handgun course is a mandatory 14-hour training for personal protection specialists who are required to carry firearms while on duty. To enroll in the 09E Advanced Handgun Course, students must first complete the 07E Basic Handgun training.
32E Personal Protection Specialist

The Awad P.I. 32E Personal Protection Specialist course is a 70-hour course that meets and exceeds the DCJS requirements for 32E registration. DCJS defines a Personal Protection Specialist as any individual who engages in the duties of providing close protection from bodily harm to any person.
05E Arrest Authority

The 05E Armed Security Officer Arrest Authority class is an 8-hour mandatory component of the Armed Security Officer training course, required by DCJS.
75E Armed Security Officer

The 75E Security Officer Handgun is a mandatory 24-course approved by DCJS for becoming an Armed Security Officer in Virginia. The course requires the students to attend all the classes, complete a written exam, and demonstrate proficiency with each caliber of handgun that they will be carrying or accessing while on duty. The students are also responsible for bringing their own ammunition.

VA Concealed Carry
